I'm Casey, I'm 23 years old and work at a photography studio in East London. I live in Dalston but I prefer Shoreditch. I can't read maps, I don't like umbrellas and I can often be found with my hood up indoors. I say amazing more than any other adjective, I think this is quite a positive thing.

Q And Not U - Fever Sleeves

If there’s a third band that should sit alongside Dischord labelmates Fugazi and Minor Threat as a truly groundbreaking act in the post-hardcore scene, it’s Q And Not U. The bands first album, 2000’s No Kill No Beep Beep presented danceable beats with off kilter guitar lines delivered in such a way that it appealed to the emo crowd as well as the alt/math rock faithful. As a three piece (after the departure of bassist Matt Borlik) Q And Not U went on to record two more critically acclaimed albums, 2002’s Different Damage and 2004’s Power  before they disbanded in 2005. Their music is difficult to find on Spotify and Youtube and Fever Sleeves in particular is a track that aside from a Last.fm profile barely exists according to Google. For fans of ‘proper’ emo and those who like anything from Rites Of Spring to Million Dead, this band are an essential listen.
