From a choice crop of singles and an admittedly piffy rest of an album, MGMT provided some awesome dance floor fillers for 2008 with Oracular Spectacular. Electric Feel is by far their strongest single in the light of Time To Pretend being battered to death by literally every DJ across the country.
One thing I’ve always thought about this song that I’ve probably shared on the odd occasion at the pub, I would pay good money to hear this song covered by Prince. I think out of all the legendary vocalists due for a mainstream comeback he is the frontrunner. Covering a song like this would give him a new audience and his voice would work amazingly well with it. There, that’s my idea, now, somebody pay me?
